tapas poble sec

Yesterday we went to eat pintxos in one of our favourite streets in Barcelona. Calle Blai in Poble Sec. In the first bar La Esquinita, every student could choose 2 pintxos and the restaurant even prepared special pintxos for our vegan students. In the next bar Agusto, we had another drink and again 2 pintxos. The last bar we went to, Sasha, the cook prepared us some nice tapas, nachos, pan con tomate, sandwiches and manchego cheese with mango sauce. All delicious!!!

Last week where the Fiestas Mayor in barrio Poble Sec. Our teacher Harri took his students to his favourite barrio. He told them about the history, showed them the hidden parts and took them to a tapas bar. There was life music on the streets and of course the gigantes where dancing around as well. Great evening to start the weekend!

Last night we went to calle Blai in Poble Sec and ate some delicious empanadas and pintxos along with wine and mojitos! We had a fun night!!

Last Thursday Gina and her friends went to Poble Sec. They visited a couple of bars to try some tapas and drinks. By looking at the pictures….I think they had a very good time 😉

Last night we went for tapas in barrio Poble Sec. We started with some pintxos in “La Tasqueta de Blai” and after that we relaxed in the couches in “Bar La Bota” where they had live music. It was a great night which ended with sangria and shots of tequila.

Poble Sec, our favorite barrio to go for tapas. We met in front of Teatro Apolo. From there it is only a 2 minute walk to the bar Hiroshima. They already expected us and prepared olives, crisps and cheese. After this we went to bar La Bota where they serve very good empanadas. Upstairs you can sit in comfortable sofas so it was very hard to get all the students to stand up to go to the last bar! But I managed, and also in the last bar we had some good food and ambiance.

Who can resists some tapas? We certainly can’t!!

On Holy Thursday we went on a tour de tapas in the lovely Poble Sec neighbourhood. We indulged ourselves with plenty of patatas bravas, albondingas, calamares, pinchos and glasses of refreshing vermut and cervezas.

We had a brilliant time and we will certainly repeat the experience soon! 🙂

This afternoon we organized a workshop about tapas at school. Students with different levels signed up and talked an hour about tapas. Hope they learned a lot and know exactly what they are going to eat tomorrow during our tour de tapas in Poble Sec.
